These terms apply to every website, monthly plan and one-off service you buy from Seen Giant. They are written for businesses. If you buy from us as a consumer, your legal rights are not affected. By accepting a quote or paying an invoice, you agree to these terms.
Who we are
Seen Giant is a trading name of a sole trader in the United Kingdom. Our full details are on our legal information page. You can reach us at contact@seengiant.com.
Quotes and prices
- Every quote is a fixed price for the work it describes. It stays valid for 30 days.
- Prices are in GBP. We are not VAT registered, so no VAT is added.
- Work that is not in your quote or plan is charged at £45 an hour, and an extra page is £95. We always tell you the price and wait for your yes before we start.
- We may change the price of a monthly plan. We tell you by email at least 30 days before the new price starts.
Payment
- Websites, rebuilds, audits and Google Business Profile set up are paid in full before we start.
- Monthly plans are paid at the start of each month. A plan paid for a year up front gets 2 months free.
- If a monthly payment fails and is not made within 14 days, we may pause the plan until it is paid.
What we need from you
- Your details, photos and logo within 14 days of payment. If they don't arrive, we pause your project and continue as soon as they do.
- You confirm that you have the right to use everything you send us, such as photos, logos and text.
- Your feedback on each round of changes within 14 days, so your project keeps moving.
Building your website
- Most websites go live within two to three weeks after we have your details. This is an estimate, not a deadline.
- Each website includes 2 rounds of changes. Further changes are charged at £45 an hour.
- With the Starter website we help you with your text and tidy it up. With Business and Growth we write it all for you. You check the text before the site goes live.
Who owns what
- Once your website is paid for, the website files are yours.
- Your domain is registered in your name. If you ever leave, we hand everything over.
- We may show your website in our portfolio. If you'd rather we didn't, just tell us.
Domain
- The first year of your domain is included in your website price.
- From the second year you pay the renewal. On the Grow and Local SEO plans we renew it for you while the plan is active.
- If a plan that renews your domain ends, the renewal becomes yours from the next renewal date.
Hosting and monthly plans
- Your website needs hosting to stay online. Hosting is included in every monthly plan. If you'd rather host it yourself, we hand over the files.
- There is no minimum term. You can cancel any month by email. Your plan stops at the end of the month you have paid for.
- A plan paid for a year up front is not refunded for unused months.
- A small change is anything that takes up to 15 minutes. Unused changes don't carry over to the next month and are not refunded.
- Care, Grow and Local SEO need a Google Business Profile. If you don't have one, we set it up for £145.
Google and other websites
- No one can guarantee a place on Google. Google decides the order of results. We do the work in your plan and show you the results in plain numbers.
- Google verifies your Business Profile directly with you. Business directories may also send a code to your phone or email. We need you to pass these on so we can finish the work.
- We are not responsible for decisions made by Google, directories or other services, such as a suspended profile or a removed listing. If it happens, we help you put it right.
Audits
A Full audit is a written report. If you order a website from us within 30 days of your audit, we deduct the audit price from your website price.
Cancelling a project
- If you cancel before we start, we refund everything you've paid.
- If you cancel after we've started, we keep payment for the work done so far and refund the rest.
- If we can't deliver what we agreed, we refund the part we haven't delivered.
Our responsibility
- We do our work with reasonable care and skill.
- Our total responsibility to you is limited to the amount you have paid us in the 12 months before the problem.
- We are not responsible for indirect losses, such as lost profit or lost business.
- Nothing in these terms limits responsibility that cannot be limited by law.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The version that applies is the one on this page when you accept your quote. For monthly plans, we tell you about important changes by email at least 30 days before they apply.
Law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales deal with any dispute. If something goes wrong, please email us first. Most problems can be sorted out quickly.
