What the numbers look like over 3 years
These examples use prices published by UK web design companies in November 2026. They aren't quotes, and what's included differs, so use them to see how the sums work.

Neither type always wins. Some monthly offers cost less over 3 years than a one-off build with a plan. What matters is the total, the minimum term, and what you keep if you leave.
When pay monthly makes sense
- You need a website now and don't have the money for a build.
- You're happy to stay for the whole minimum term.
- Changes and support are included, and you know you'll use them.
When a one-off price makes sense
- You want the website to be yours from the day it's paid for.
- You want to be able to change company at any time, without a fee.
- You'd rather pay less each month once the site is built.
What to check before you sign
- The minimum term. How many months must you pay, and what happens if you stop early?
- Who owns the domain. It should be registered in your name or your business's name. Here's how to check.
- What you keep if you leave. The files, the text and your photos, or only your logo and photos?
- The price after the minimum term. Does it drop, stay the same or go up?
- What's included. How many pages and changes a month, and who writes the text?
How we charge
We charge a one-off price for the website, from £595, and a separate monthly plan, from £29, with no contract. It isn't the lowest price at the start, but you know the full cost, and you can leave any month with your domain and files. See our pricing section.
