What a builder's website needs
- Photos of real jobs. Before and after, with one line on what you did and where. This does more than any slogan.
- A page for each service. Extensions, loft conversions, kitchens and renovations are different searches, so each one gets its own page.
- The areas you cover. Named clearly, so nobody has to ask if you work in their town.
- A simple quote form. A few questions and a space for photos of the job, so you get enquiries you can price.
- A call button on phones. Many people look you up on site or on the sofa, and want to press one button.
- Proof you can be trusted. Your Google reviews, and your insurance and memberships if you have them.
What usually goes wrong
- Huge photos that make the site crawl on a phone.
- One long page that tries to cover every service, so Google can't tell what you do.
- No mention of the area you work in.
- A phone number that you can't press, or that's hidden at the bottom.

Maple & Stone Builders is a concept website we made to show the idea. The business is fictional, and the site works on any phone: open the Maple & Stone demo.
Which package fits
Business (£1,195) suits most builders: up to 10 pages, a page for each service and area, text written for you and your Google profile set up. Starter (£695) is enough if you only need a clean website with no Google work. Hosting comes with a monthly plan, from £29 a month.
